Finally [Hercules] reached the Caucasus Mountains, where Prometheus had been fettered for thirty years... Zeus had long repented of his punishment, because Prometheus had since sent him a kindly warning not to marry Thetis, lest he might beget one greater than himself; and now, when Hercules pleaded for Prometheus's pardon, granted this without demur. Having once, however, condemned him to everlasting punishment, Zeus stipulated that, in order still to appear a prisoner, he must wear a ring made from his chains and set with Caucasian stone - and this was the first ring ever to contain a setting... Mankind now began to wear rings in Prometheus's honour...

Attention all Avatar haters who say the plot is unoriginal and James Cameron is a moron. You are only half correct and all douche. Yes the plot is unoriginal. Romeo and Juliet, Pocahontas and John Smith, love interest, bad guy's awesome death, and good guy saves the day etc. etc. Anybody who ever wants to make a movie that leaves the audience elated and happy nowadays has to include these types of elements which allows for a limited number of endings and scenarios. This movie was fuckin epic, and appealed to a mass audience. If you don't like it fine, fuck that we all have different tastes. But the reason sure as hell better not be because the plot was "unoriginal" (unless you read nothing but ancient texts and literary fiction in which case you're probably a faggot anyway)

In short Avatar was sweet as hell and I'm ranting.

I was looking over old Journal entries, and man alive I sure sounded like a whiny bitch back then.

I wonder if in 5 years I'll think I was a whiny bitch right now.

Which also makes me wonder if I'm just doomed to be a whiny bitch for life.

On the plus side at least I'll be a whiny bitch who knows how to brew his own beer! 2 more weeks til Dead Guy Ale! WooHoo!

Dracula's Lament

It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better
I've been drowning too long to believe that the tides going to turn
And I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get easier now
I'm trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I've learned

And if I see Van Helsing, I swear to lord I will slay him! AH AH AH AH!
He'd take you from me, but I swear I won't let it be so! AH AH AH AH!
Blood will run down his face when he is Decapitated! AH AH AH AH!
His head on my mantle is how I will let the world know,

How much I love you.

I can't

Awwwww, Dexter might have found love!

P.S. anyone who hasn't seen the show Dexter I highly recommend it. This love comment pretty much has little to do with the joy ride that is following around a sociopathic serial killer who preys on evil human beings. It is totally golden!

Ugh, too much Rossi! I feel pretty sick. Hopefully I can get some McDonalds tomorrow. A large Hi-C and McGriddle are easily the best hang over cure I have found. Anybody else have better hang over cures please do tell me.

Port Orchard Traditions [Mar. 25th, 2008|12:43 am]
While hanging w/ my good buddies for spring break I have tried to accomplish some of our old traditions.

1. Watching First Contact with the boys. No cards to throw but it was still wonderful.

2. Lan Party! Presently underway. Scoutz Knivez!!! MENDOZA!!!

3. Candy thiefing from Albertsons. Did not go as planned, they no longer have candy there so instead we tried another tradition.

4. Blood Pressure w/ stolen sharpie. We use the blood pressure machine at Albertsons, Denny won, and I got caught for stealing a sharpie. I still blame my loss to Denny over the fact that they were threatening to call the cops on me while I was getting my blood pressure taken, which naturally caused it to sky rocket. When we were leaving a guy asked me if they were still open, to which I responded, "Yeah they are open, and really watchful." I am a very bad thief, but it was still quite fun. Edit: Dolby won the blood pressure competition.

5. After the Albertsons adventure we stopped by J and the B for some late night foodage. Free sodas hooray.

Those are all the traditions recaptured so far. Hopefully I can add some more as the break continues.
